Rain, Rain, Go away! Come again another day!
It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring, he got into bed and bumped his head and couldn't get up in the morning.
Either way you slice it...it's raining. Call me pessimistic, but it figures the rain would start as soon as we have a break. Oh well, I took the opportunity to do some major house cleaning. I also did approx. 4 hours of homework today. The class this month is Geography. The class itself is not hard, there is just a lot of work for it.
Speaking of classes...the college counselor gave me some bummer news yesterday. I was hoping to double up on classes this summer in order to finish my BA by March. This would give me the required month off, April, so I could start work on my masters and receive the internship I would like to have. HOWEVER, my capstone class will not be offered until April and ends in May, which means that even if I double up, I will not be able to receive an internship in time for the school year to start. I have to take a month off between the ending of the BA and the beginning of the MA (in order for grades to post and the degree to be conferred); Plus I have to take 3 additional classes in order to be internship qualified. It is possible I might be able to start the internship late, but it's doubtful. I'll probably have to wait another full year, at which point I will be halfway through the next program. The only bright side is I won't have to double up on so many classes this summer. I'm still taking a full load, plus one, so it will be busy...just not super duper busy.
We're staying home for Easter this year. I think it's the first time, with the exception of when Andrew was weeks old. Of course the kids are getting Easter baskets, with chocolate bunnies. My friend Trish told me she had her kids pick out their own chocolate bunnies in Target the other day. I'm all for that. What do you put in Easter baskets for teenagers? Gift cards are out, clothes are out, expensive electronic toys are out. All that's left is candy. Good thing they went to the dentist today!
